Absolutely! We believe in collaborative care. Many of our patients continue seeing their primary care physician or specialists while working with us. We're happy to coordinate care and communicate with your other providers to ensure you receive comprehensive, integrated support.

We require 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee. We understand that emergencies happen—just contact us as soon as possible if you need to change your appointment.

Not necessarily. Lab testing is a tool we use when it will give us valuable information to guide your treatment. Some patients benefit greatly from comprehensive functional testing, while others may not need it at all. We'll review your health history and symptoms, look at any recent labs you already have, and recommend testing only if it will meaningfully impact your care plan. We never order tests just to order them—only when they provide clarity and direction.

Yes! Naturopathic doctors (NDs) are licensed primary care doctors who attend accredited four-year naturopathic medical schools. Our education includes the same foundational sciences as conventional medical doctors (anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, diagnostics) plus extensive training in nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, and mind-body medicine. We're trained to diagnose conditions, order and interpret lab tests, and create comprehensive treatment plans using natural therapies. In some provinces, NDs have prescription rights and can serve as primary care providers.

Yes, we welcome patients of all ages, including children and teenagers. Naturopathic medicine can be particularly beneficial for pediatric concerns like digestive issues, immune support, skin conditions, behavioral concerns, and general wellness. For minors under 18, we require a parent or legal guardian to be present for appointments. We adjust our approach, therapies, and communication style to be age-appropriate and comfortable for younger patients.

That's completely fine! We're trained in pharmacology and understand medication interactions. We'll review all your current medications and can work alongside them with complementary natural therapies. We never ask you to stop medications without consulting your prescribing doctor first. Our goal is to support your health safely, whether that means working with your medications, eventually reducing them (with your doctor's supervision), or simply optimizing your overall wellness while you continue your current treatment.
